Saint's Living Textbook

Computer Essentials for Graphic Design is more than just a prerequisite for anyone interested in communication design, it is a rigorous, semester-length approach to training designers in the tips and techniques they need to succeed in this exciting, fast-paced and ever expanding field.

This is the Macintosh course in computer graphics and digital imaging that you want and need - the one that really develops those necessary design skills using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and much, much more.

The Living Textbook is a unique approach to distance learning. Students have often told me they wished that my classes could be frozen in space and time for review anytime, even weeks after the course ended. Now, all of my class lessons are available on CD-ROM. This 14-lesson course is based on my college computer graphics curriculum, featuring up-to-the-minute techniques in the latest software, and containing my easy-to-follow walkthroughs.

These lessons are HTML-based, which means that all you need to view them is the CD-ROM and a Web browser, such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer or America Online. (You can even view the lessons in an HTML-editor, like Dreamweaver, GoLive, Front Page and others!)

All you have to do is open the main welcome page in the CD-ROM using your favorite Web browser (or HTML editor). Then click on the links! The lessons will be there for you to follow along with, just as if you were in my class!

If you have an Internet connection while you use the Living Textbook, you can click on any of the hotlinks I have made available within the walkthroughs to go directly to cool sites that relate to that topic.

And be sure to take a look at my Bookshelf recommended reading list for the latest in computer art and design topics.
